Physics Professors Paul Krehbiel, Bill Winn, and Stirling Colgate discuss a strategy for bestowing the doctoral hood, as honoree Charles Moore appears to be timing them with his wristwatch from a safe distance off to the right. Tech President Daniel Lopez looks on from behind the podium.

With only one hand visible to the camera, Stirling Colgate makes the first move, as Charlie appears either to offer a benediction or to prepare to steady his mortarboard.
Many hands make light (of) work. Krehbiel, Colgate, and Winn all have a hand in the action. Charlie remains poised to defend himself if needed.
All four are still standing; nobody was hurt and no damage was done in the brief course of this mass hooding.
Dr. Charles B. Moore, newly vested in the rights and privileges thereof, graciously accepts his colors.
