Course Overview:

Design and implementation of digital systems.  Topics include number systems, Boolean logic, logic gates, design of combinational circuits, reduction of combinational circuits, design of synchronous sequential circuits and finite state machines, register transfer logic, and design of complex digital systems.  Synthesis, simulation and implementation of digital systems using the Verilog Hardware Description Language.

Grading:

Weekly homework (20%), weekly quizzes on Friday (10%), four mid-term exams (12% each), final exam (22%).
