Recent Events
We are starting a brand new year of robot action. This means we will be analyzing the problems from last year, and finding new solutions to those problems, both hardware and software. We will want at least one new robot this year, and are always searching for new recruits. Anybody interested in joining the club e-mail Jonathan jandrews@nmt.edu, Jon nohero@nmt.edu, or talk to someone in the EE department.

Old Stuff
The eighth annual Trinity Fire Fighting Home Robot Competition was held on Sunday, April 22nd at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. This is the competition that we have been preparing for for the past year. We entered two robots this year, BJ and BJ2. BJ placed 16th and BJ2 placed 19th. All of the results can be seen by here
CS majors, if you want to work on the coding of the robot we have all copies of the code in a zip file. Please feel free to download it and tinker. For help understanding HC12 programming go to the Microcontrollers home page.

The Robotics Club needs all types of people, we need people to design, build and program the bots. We encourage anyone to join, it doesn't matter what major. We hope to be able to build more than one robot this semester.

We are constructing several robot kits to sell to high schools and other organizations (see link below for more information). These kits not only serve as a profit venture, but also to introduce younger generations to robotics. If you would like to join the robotics club, or have questions, please email the robotics club at robotics@ee.nmt.edu

Our goals for this semester are to build student involvment and design two new robots. In order to do this, we are going to have to do a few fundraisers. We welcome any suggestions and would like to see more students involved this semester.
