Background Report

Write a survey paper on noise isolating/canceling approaches and technology. Possible items include are general approaches; challenges; existing technologies, projects and products; and high-level thoughts as to what your design will have in terms of subsystems.

Your report should

• be five pages or less;
• include at least four references from refereed journal or conference papers that can be found in the Library's Compendex or Web of Science databases;
• use the IEEE two-column format for which a Latex style file and a Microsoft Word template are available from IEEE web site http://www.ieee.org/pubs/transactions/stylesheets.xml
