Guidelines for Statement of Work

Our Statement of Work will serve as the contract between you (the designers) and me (the client). It will set the scope of the work to be performed, expectations, deliverables, responsibilities of each party, time frame, cost and payment schedule.

Items you should consider including in your Statement of Work include:

• Purpose statement to briefly outline reason for project;
• Scope statement to define and bound project;
• Major deliverables and when they're expected;
• Success criteria;
• Resources that will be used for the project to include facilities, equipment and key personnel;
• Budget and how costs will be paid.

Note we'll try to keep this short on the order of three pages or less.
