  1. Search the literature to find out what countries are ranked first, second and third according to the number of industrial robots in use.
  2. Search the literature to find out what countries are ranked first, second and third according to the number of new installations of industrial robots.
  3. Search the literature to find the top three suppliers of industrial robots.
  4. Briefly define each of the following: forward kinematics, inverse kinematics, velocity (differential) kinematics, inverse velocity (differential) kinematics, revolute (rotational) joint, prismatic joint, end-effector and workspace.
  5. Identify a commercially available manipulator, and provide a picture of it along with key specifications (number and type of joints, type of actuators, maximum reach, payload, ...)
