Final Presentations

Location Jones Annex 101

Team order E-C-D-B-A
Audience: Gear towards technically capable group of supervisors, sponsors, and colleagues. Family, friends, faculty, and staff are welcome.
Dress: Business casual, i.e., nicely dressed and no jeans, shorts, t-shirts.
Allotted Presentation Time
(including questions):
15 min. + 5 min. for questions
Presentation Equipment Available: TCC computer and projector available. Make sure you test before presentation time. Also, inlcude all presentation on one account to speed up transition
Presentation Objective: Inform your supervisors, sponsors, and colleagues about your solution to the assigned task.

Final Presentation Grading:

  • Presentation skills (clarity, slide readability, organization, speaker transition, time limit, eye contact, appropriate dress, etc.): 
45%
  • Presentation content (cover all aspects of your design; in the end your audience should have a good understanding of your design and overall project status):
45%
  • Ability to answer questions about design: 
10%

Presentation Items:

  • Items to include:
    • Title Slide that identifies the project and design team.
    • Overview Slide that shows the general outline and direction of the presentation.
    • General Description and Motivation of the project at a level anyone can understand.
    • Problem Statement including requirements and specifications defined by you and your customer.
    • Overview of Design including how overall system functions in terms of its subsystems and interfaces. A block diagram might be useful here.
    • Technical Description of Major Subsystems including specifications; design; justification; key components; and supporting material from analysis, simulations or experiments.
    • Status of design to include prototype's functionality, budget.
    • Test Results for tests and evaluations that were done to verify performance.
    • Conclusion briefly summarizing presentation.
    • Backup Slides with details not appropriate for presentation, but useful as backup or in a handout such as detailed gantt charts, budgets, diagrams, etc.
  • Items not to include:
    • very detailed schematics
